There was a sixth grade band concert on November 24, 2014. I asked the sixth grade band students if they were excited or not and why, here is what they said,
Grant who plays trumpet said,
“Yes, because this is our first concert and I think the band will sound good.”
Seth who plays trumpet said,
“Yes, because I have practiced a lot and I’m ready to play.”
Lydia who plays percussion said,
“Yes, because I have solos with drums.”
Ella who plays clarinet said,
“Yes, because it’s my first time doing a concert.”
Madison who plays flute said,
“Yes, because it allows us to show how we’ve improved from not being able to play a note to playing these sounds.”
Grace who plays flute said,
“Yes, it’s a chance for the parents to see how far we’ve come.”
Claire who plays french horn said,
“Absolutely, because we as new 6th graders get a chance to shine and show what we learned.”
The concert was a big success and everybody loved it!
